And you’ve read the required books to the kids: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Christmas Carol, The Polar Express, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. You drank the holiday punch, ate the Christmas cookies, and stoked the flickering holiday fire. The tree is up and the lights are hung. 

And now your friends at H&R bring you one last tradition to add to your seasonal celebration. A short, little story about the time an H&R Parts Specialist and a magic rebuilt transmission came together to save the holidays in the most incredible way.

Gather the kiddos, put a log on the fire, maybe pour yourself one more mug of that holiday punch, and read on — or sit back and have it read to you on YouTube! Either way, it’s sure to be a Christmas classic and a new holiday tradition.

Far to the north, in the land of ice and cold and ever-falling snow,
a jolly old fellow found his trusty wheel loader simply would not go.

With snow-clogged roads to be cleared and heartfelt joy to be delivered,
The jolly man's mechanics eyed his wheel loader out in the cold as they shivered.

Suddenly at the clear sight of a busted transmission that must be replaced,
Off to the phone that round man dashedly and quickly raced.

From a clambering ring an H&R Parts Specialist was swiftly alerted,
But with time such an issue could disaster actually be averted?!

A masterful search and a part located, but … alas … still in need of rebuilding

With a tug and a pull and some hard-earned salvaging smarts,
The transmission was freed and rebuilding was now onto the next parts.

A remarkable and gorgeous rebuilt transmission did suddenly appear.

Painted and polished and assured to be great,
That happy little transmission was made ready for freight.

Forklifts in anticipation to gently lift the transmission on board,
A shipping truck was loaded and then off it soon roared.

And with a few of his assistants always on hand
That magic rebuilt transmission was installed by that old jolly man.

Snow quickly cleared and joy passed around,
People began debating how this great feat actually went down.

And the question that was quickly and so often repeated,
“Was it holiday magic that allowed this transmission trouble to be so easily defeated?”

In measured response, the H&R Parts Specialist replied, with a wink and a pause,
“This time it was the H&R team … not Santa Claus.”
